Overview
After migrating from MyKerio to AppManager, you may find that your appliances are not visible in the AppManager. This confusion arises from a misunderstanding of the migration process.
The appliances do not automatically appear in the AppManager after migration; they need to be registered directly from each appliance.
Solution
The migration from the MyKerio will not migrate the configuration of the devices. It only migrates shared definitions.
Note: If you have multiple MyKerio accounts, each of these accounts needs to be migrated individually.
To see the appliances in the AppManager after migrating from MyKerio, you need to update your appliances to AppManager-supported versions and register each appliance directly. This can be done in two ways:
- During the installation of the latest version of the product, confirm the corresponding step in the installation wizard. For detailed steps on how to register your appliances with AppManager, please refer to the How to get started with GFI AppManager guide.
- Through the admin UI of the product under Remote Services after updating the appliance. A new browser window should open for you to set the appliance name and choose the AppManager account to which this appliance will be linked.
If the registration process fails, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Clear your cache or attempt the registration in an incognito window, or in another browser
- Depending on the appliance, try resetting the connection
Summary
After migrating from MyKerio to AppManager, appliances do not automatically appear in the AppManager interface; they must be registered manually. The migration only transfers shared definitions, not the configuration of devices. Each appliance must be updated to a version compatible with AppManager and registered either during the installation of the new version or through the admin UI under Remote Services. If registration issues occur, try clearing the browser cache, using an incognito window, switching browsers, or resetting the appliance’s connection following specific guides for each type of appliance.
