IP Address Groups is the fourth tab in the Home section. It can be used to create IP address groups and add IP addresses to them.
IP addresses are identifiers assigned to devices connected to a TCP/IP Network. IP address groups can be used in various configuration dialogues throughout GFI AppManager.
Note: these groups here are synced to the particular account appliance(s) only, while the IP Address Groups defined in the Definitions section are globally synced to all accounts under the MSP.
Create an IP Address Group
- Click the + CREATE IP ADDRESS GROUP button
- In the pop-up dialogue enter the desired name of the IP address group
- Click CREATE at the bottom right-hand corner of the pop-up dialogue
Once created the groups will be listed. The list can be searched and filtered using the and buttons, respectively. The list columns show:
- Name: the name of the group
- Status: the status of the group
- IP Addresses: the button to add an IP address (see below)
- : to delete the group
Add an IP Address
- Under the relevant IP address group, click the button to open the IP Addresses list
- Click the + button
- In the pop-up dialogue enter a description of the IP address (for reference) and choose one of the available IP Address Types from the dropdown menu:
- Addresses: includes IP address, range, network, subnet, or prefix
- IP Address Group: another group of IP addresses (these can be cascaded)
- Firewall: a special group including all the firewall's IP addresses
- Click SAVE
Edit/Remove an IP Address
- Under the relevant IP address group, click the button to open the IP Addresses list
- On the relevant row click on to edit the IP address or to delete it
